October is just an hour away . . . finally! September has been a long month for us. DJ switched from Washburn to Emporia State for his masters program. After attending a three hour class through Washburn, right after getting off work, DJ realized he would NEVER be home if he didn't attend a school that offered online classes. Emporia offers a lot of online classes and a flexible schedule for grad students. So far he's really enjoying doing all his school work via internet. We even "bought" an online textbook- cheaper and less bulky ;). Hooray for technology!
We're also almost caught up on all the nit-picky but necessary little details required when moving, like getting new tags for the dogs, drivers license address change . . . and on and on.
I'm still looking for a job, I've already lost count of how many job applications I've filled out. The whole process has been a bit frustrating. Seems like job interviewers don't want you to contact them anymore("we'll call you when we've started looking at the applications") and most places now want you to apply online rather than in person. This makes it even harder to make an impression because your first impression is a piece of paper! College did not prepare me for this.
I have a few sewing projects going and tried out several new recipes. I also have been watching lots of movies thanks to the Topeka Public Library!
Well, that's our update. I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful Fall weather as much as we are, Happy October!

Hooray for an update! I'm glad that you're getting settled, and I hope that your job hunt finds something soon - I can imagine that's really frustrating. Can't wait to see you in a few weeks!
